Teen Programs

Summer Reading Program
Held annually during the summer months, teens track time spent reading and for each hour read a drawing ticket is awarded. Teens are also encouraged to attend fun programs to earn extra tickets for prizes awarded weekly, with one grand prize at the end.

The following teen programs are held monthly. Teen programs are for students in grades 6 and up:

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
TAG is a great way for students to make new friends, help library staff plan upcoming events and get involved at your library AND earn service hours for school. Meetings are held monthly at the Bealeton library. Contact Ann McDuffie (540-422-8535) to learn more. TAG applications are available at your local library or online.

Teen Writing Club
Do you write poetry, short stories? Working on a novel? Do you journal or blog? Now you can meet fellow teen writers, get positive feedback on material, learn about writing contests and get other helpful hints; free; snacks provided by the Friends of the Fauquier Library. Meetings are held monthly at the John Marshall and Warrenton central branch libraries.

TASK is a school-year volunteer program for teens 13-18 years old which will be held at the Warrenton central library. Contact Jennifer Schultz (540-422-8516) to learn more. TASK applications are available at your local library or online.
