Reading Riot: Enjoy Magazines Aimed at YA Audience

A recent Staff Picks recommended our wonderful selection of magazines in print and electronic formats. Here’s a reminder that we also carry magazines for young adults. As with all ‘zines in the collection you can read the current issue at the library and check out back issues for reading at home.

Girls’ Life is a bi-monthly magazine for girls ages 10-16 focusing on fun stuff like fashion, beauty and celebs along with real information and advice on friends, family, school, tough stuff and more.

Transworld Ride BMX is everything you need to know about the sport, lifestyle and culture of BMX freestyle. It features top pro interviews, entertaining road trip stories, awesome photography the latest and craziest BMX tricks, new products, news and lots more.

Seventeen is a magazine aimed at teenagers but appeals to young women up to 21. Up to the minute advice and trends help girls navigate the tricky terrain of high school, dating, fashion, friendship and so much more.

Teen Ink is a monthly literary magazine devoted entirely to the writing, art and photography of teenagers. It gives teens an opportunity to publish their work and opinions on issues that affect their lives – everything from love and family to school, current events and self-esteem.
