Library Programs
The Fauquier County Public Library provides programs to meet the interests and needs of community members and to represent the wide range of ideas and views contained in the library’s materials collection. These programs are often presented in cooperation with other agencies and institutions as well as other public and private resources. The ultimate responsibility for selection of library programs rests with the library director who operates within the framework of policies determined by the Board of Trustees.
All library-sponsored programs are free and open to the public. Occasionally, space restrictions or program requirements may limit the number of people who may attend. Persons who attend library programs are expected to adhere to the library’s policy on patron conduct.
Presenters may not solicit business before, during, or following a program. Exempt are authors or performers who speak about books they have authored or perform material they have written or recorded. Before or after the presentation, the author, performer, or his/her representative may sell copies of the published or recorded work.
Presentation at the library of any specific idea, strategy, financial plan, or investment does not constitute library endorsement. Organizations or business affiliation will be used by the library in promotion of programs. This also does not constitute endorsement, merely acknowledgment.
