The Fauquier County Public Library is pleased to announce a new program for the OWLs (Older, Wiser, Learners) of our community.

If you are an active older adult (we’re not carding anyone!) interested in making new friends, learning new things and sharing what you know, we would love to meet you. Each branch is hosting a kickoff coffeehouse to invite the OWLs of our communities to meet one another and share their ideas with library staff. We’d like to plan programs that will be of interest to you and to be a gathering place where you can connect with other OWLs.

Are you interested in book chats, forums on community or national issues, or presentations on physical, financial and mental health? Do computer classes, travel discussions, crafting and games sound good to you? What else would you like to see offered by your local library?

Come to the coffeehouse, enjoy some nibbles, new friends and conversation. We look forward to meeting you and learning what you’d like from your library!

Meeting locations, dates and times are as follows:

Warrenton central library: Thursday, April 9, 1 p.m.

Bealeton branch library: Thursday, April 9, 2 p.m.

John Marshall branch library: Wednesday, April 22, 1 p.m.
