Gratitude

Gratitude

noun; grat·i·tude \ˈgra-tə-ˌtüd, -ˌtyüd\ Synonyms; thanks, thankfulness, appreciation, gratefulness.

No doubt your Facebook and Instagram feed has been filling up with gratitude posts this month. It seems to be a common practice; Oprah made a big deal about writing in a gratitude journal years ago and you can find a multitude of gratitude blogs on the web. It seems that every November it comes around again, or at least that is when I notice it the most. But have you really thought about what it is to feel gratitude? Do you tend to see things as the “glass is half empty” or “half full.” What does gratitude mean to you?

If you’re looking to take a closer look at the practice of gratitude, whether writing in a journal or blogging, maybe even filling up your friends news feed, the Fauquier County Public Library has some great titles.
