About the event
Karen White, Director of the Afro-American Historical Association of Fauquier County, talks with Lou Emerson, veteran journalist and editor.
Karen White is one of the founders of the African American History Museum and a driving force behind the Association’s “Know Their Names” project, documenting every person ever enslaved in Fauquier County.
For more than 30 years, White has been researching her own family lines; her research continues today.
