Most of us who have attended college ended up with some kind of student loan debt. But did you know that 42 million people owe on student loans, and that equals $1.3 trillion in student debt? The article “Lives on Hold” spotlights several former students who are trying to pay off their debt. There is also a section with ten key questions that families should ask before deciding on a college or university, including what does the student want to get out of college, what kind of financial help can you expect, are there ways to cut costs, and how to know if the college education will pay off.

Solar power

Interested in converting your house to solar power? If so, check out the article “Shedding Light on Solar Power.” The article has information on leasing vs. buying solar panels, new technologies, and how the utility companies are fighting back.

The article includes ratings for adult and youth bike helmets.
