The next Sunday with the Library will feature Francis Gary Powers Jr, author of Spy Pilot: Francis Gary Powers, the U-2 Incident and a Controversial Cold War Legacy.

In 1960, an American U-2 spy plane piloted by Francis Gary Powers was downed over the Soviet Union. Although exonerated of any wrongdoing, a cloud of controversy lingered over Powers until his death in 1977. Learn how his son, Francis  Gary Powers Jr., honored his father and unraveled a Cold War mystery in Spy Pilot.
