Celebrate Dad! (6.15.22)

Each year fathers and father figures are celebrated on the third Sunday of June. This year, on June 19th, dads will receive all sort of gifts – from neckties to golf balls (we suggest giving Dad a book) and greeting cards to show appreciation for all he does.

To get into the father’s Day spirit, check out one of these books about real-life or fictional dads. Our librarians have included titles for children, teens and adults – all available from your local Fauquier Public Library. (more…)

Book Cellar News: June 2022

June brings the arrival of summer and celebrations of Flag Day, Juneteenth, and Father’s Day.

In addition to celebrating these holidays, the Book Cellar will be kicking off its 3rd Annual Too Good to be True Fiction Sale, which will run all month and extend through Saturday, July 2. All fiction (including mysteries, science fiction, and westerns) will be on sale Buy One, Get One (of Equal or Lesser Value) Free. Now is the time to stock up on your summer/vacation books!

Stop by the Book Cellar this month to find books to celebrate the summer holidays and events. Watch for special displays to make it easier to find just the right book.

If you haven’t visited The Book Cellar recently, stop by – inventory is always changing, and our prices can’t be beat! Remember to bring your reusable Book Cellar tote bag to receive a discount off your purchase each time you visit.

The Book Cellar is located at 2 Courthouse Square in Warrenton (the basement of the John Barton Payne Bldg.) and is open Fridays and Saturdays, 10 am – 5 pm.
