More than 16 million viewers tuned in for the live and prime time opening ceremonies of the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Certainly the Olympics are fun to watch, but how much do you know about them?  Here is just a sampling of the many books available from your local Fauquier Public Library about all things Olympics!

For Children

How do international events shape the games? What is curling? How fast do speed skaters skate?  Young readers can find the answers to these and many other questions about the Olympics at the local library.



For Adults

Kids aren’t the only ones interested in learning more about the Olympics. From the reinvention of the Olympic Games to the remarkable story of the University of Washington’s 1936 eight-oar crew and their quest for Olympic Gold, adults too can explore the history of the games and stories of the amazing athletes that compete in them.
