What to Read This Summer: Books Set in Another Country

Posted on

Looking for your next great read? Your friendly librarians at Fauquier Public Library can help!  Each week of the 2021 summer reading program they will recommend 10 books in our collection for your enjoyment.  As an added bonus, each list corresponds with an activity on that week’s game card!

This week it’s all about travelling around the world – all you need is a library card and a comfortable place to read!

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan  (Singapore)

His Only Wife by Peace Adzo Madie (Ghana)

Mermaid Inn by Jenny Holiday (Canada)

Revolution Sunday by Wendy Guerra (Cuba)

Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory (England)

The Library at the Edge of the World by Felicity Hayes-McCoy (Ireland)

The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George (France)

Maya’s Notebook by Isabel Allende (Chile)

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion (Australia)

The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters by Balli Kaur Jaswal (India)

Happy reading!
