What to Read This Summer: Alternative History

Posted on

If your teen is registered for the 2021 summer reading program, books, game cards and activities are sure to be a part of their summer. But which books?  Our librarians have lots of ideas to share.  Each week they will publish a new list of 10 books.  As an added bonus, each list will correspond with an activity on that week’s game card!

If you are ready to get started, grab that game card and a good book.  If you read one of the books from the list below, cross off “Read a Book of Alternate History” on your game card.  There are lots of other activities to choose from, too.  Happy Reading!

American Royals by Katharine McGee

Dread Nation by Justina Ireland

The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye

Etiquette & Espionage by Gail Carriger

Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
