What We’re Reading: Mystery Book Club January 2021

Posted on

The Mystery Book Club recently read The K Team by David Rosenfelt. It’s the first book in his new K Team mystery series, a spinoff from his Andy Carpenter legal mystery series. In this new series, Andy Carpenter’s wife Laurie, a former cop, starts an investigative team with retired cop Corey Douglas and his German Shepherd Simon Garfunkel. Judge Henry Henderson is being blackmailed and hires the K Team to find out why.

Here’s what members of the Mystery Book Club had to say about The K Team.

What We Liked

  • Familiar characters
  • Unexpected ending
  • Different plot involving the world of high finance and investing

What We Didn’t Like

  • The dog, Simon Garfunkel, has a very small role in the book
