Reading Riot: Midway SRP

We are halfway through the Summer Reading Program but there are still lots of fun events to attend and even more good books to read. So keep reading and log those minutes for prizes. And remember, every time you come to a teen event, you’ll get the Secret Code to enter for more chances to win great prizes. Unless otherwise noted, teen programs are for rising 6th graders and above. Registration is recommended, but not required. Call your local library to reserve your spot.

Henna designsHenna Hand Painting – From the Middle East, we’ll learn the ancient art of Mehndi hand art. We’ll use safe, temporary body markers to create our own beautiful and exotic designs. Signed permission slip required.

Emoji Travel Pillows – Are you addicted to Emoji symbols? Crafty? Bored and looking for a simple activity to pass the time? In this class, we will create no-sew Emoji pillows. No special skills required. All supplies provided by library.

Stock Car Image with drivers name, Bradley KilbyRarin’ to Race – meet teen racecar driver Bradley Kilby, learn how he follows his dream and see up close the cool black stock car he drives.

o Marshall – July 17, 6 p.m.
o Warrenton – July 24, 6 p.m.

FROGbots – see what robotics is all about! This champion local team will demonstrate their robot’s capabilities and even give you a chance to remotely drive the robotic vehicle.

o Bealeton – July 10, 4 p.m.
o Warrenton – July 17, 6 p.m.
o Marshall – July 24, 6 p.m.

Finale Pizza and Movie – Wrap up another fabulous Summer Reading Program with a showing of Spiderman: Homecoming. Celebrate with free pizza and popcorn.
