Coming In December: Holiday Programs At Your Library

Holiday fun takes center stage at the library in December. The following are special events coming this month.

Tuesday, December 1 – Tuesday, December 22

Elf on a Shelf
There’s an elf hiding at your library. Find him, fill out an entry form including where you found him and what he was reading. Earn a candy cane with each entry. A special drawing for an Elf on the Shelf prize package will be held at each library location on December 23.

John Marshall branch library, 4 p.m.
A visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus
Enjoy stories, crafts and holiday songs with Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Wednesday, December 9

Warrenton central library, 4 p.m.
Santa is on the move—this time delighting children at the Warrenton central library.
Come for stories, crafts and LEGOs.

Saturday, December 12

Bealeton branch library, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Holiday Open House
Enjoy warm cider, cookies and DIY crafts for the kids.

Bealeton Depot, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Piedmont Railroaders Train Exposition.
Enjoy the nostalgia of model trains. Multiple layouts on display. Free.

Sunday, December 13

Bealeton Depot, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Piedmont Railroaders Train Exposition continues.

Tuesday, December 15

Bealeton branch library, 5 p.m.
An Evening with Santa and Mrs. Claus
5 p.m., early bird visits with Santa. Registration required. Please call (540) 422—8532.
At 6 p.m., outdoor community caroling will be led by Liberty High School Chorus prior to lighting of the community Christmas tree.
Followed immediately by additional opportunities for children to visit with Santa. (Receive your number to see Santa upon arrival.)
