Give Where You Live – and Support Your Local Library

Posted by Aaron on

If you have seen the signs around town or posts on Facebook or Twitter, you know that tomorrow, May 5, is the day you can support your community through a donation to Give Local Piedmont.

Give Local PiedmontFor the first time, The Friends of the Fauquier Library has joined Give Local Piedmont for a 24-hour period of online giving. The Friends is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the library. Last year, they contributed almost $26,000 to support library programs and events.

The Friends has set a goal to raise $1,000 to provide additional financial support for the 2015 summer reading program. Your gift of as little as $10 can help them continue to support reading, enrichment and education via your local library.

It’s easy to make a contribution – you can donate online or stop by any Fauquier County Public Library, where convenient kiosks will be available throughout the day on May 5 to make your contribution.

Please support The Friends of the Fauquier Library!
